Quinta dos Capinhas is thrilled to reveal that our Rosé Wine 2020 has received the Gold Medal at the XIV Algarve Wines Contest. The announcement of the results of the XIV Algarve Wines Contest was held on the 12th of June at the Lagoa Wine Show. Among whites, rosés, and reds, 143 wines from 32 producers in the Algarve were tasted, making this the largest edition of the competition ever held.
The XIV Algarve Wines Contest was organized by Vinhos do Algarve and supported by the Municipality of Lagoa. The decision of the winners was up to the 25 judges with the technical direction and secretariat of the Algarve Wine Commission.
Our 2020 rosé wine is composed of Alfrocheiro, Cabernet Sauvignon, Moscatel Galego Roxo, and Touriga Nacional grapes in an incredible combination!
As pointed out by the Algarve no Copo blog tasting, the Rosé 2020 won a gold medal for a reason:
A delicious rosé, easy to drink and challenging, in which different aromas are discovered throughout the tasting. Very interesting! And with 13.5%!
