Good vines make good wines

Our journey to protect the Porches vineyards

Overlooking the Serra de Monchique and 2 km away from the sea, our vineyard is set partly on terraces along the hill slopes on sandy, shell- and clay-limestone soil near Porches. Together with our team, we are working hard to grow the healthiest grapes with the best that sustainable agriculture can do for us.

The varietals we chose for the vineyard

We chose to cultivate a mix of Portuguese and international grape varietals to create unique wines that showcase the potential of our terroir – respecting what nature has in store.

The white varietals include Arinto, Verdelho, Antão Vaz, and Chardonnay, while the reds include Touriga Nacional, Moscatel, Alfrocheiro, Alicante Bouschet, and Cabernet Sauvignon. More recently, we also planted Pinot Noir and Negra Mole, which should bear fruit for wines in 2024.
