Sandy-loam and limestone soils. South-facing vineyard.
Situated just 2000 metres from the sea and exposed to strong northerly winds from Monchique.
WINEMAKING AND AGEING
Hand-picked at night. The grapes are destemmed, crushed, delastaged and fermented at a controlled temperature.
Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
TASTING NOTES
The wine combines ripe fruit with balsamic tobacco, graphite and cocoa.
Floral, with notes of thyme and heather.
Very complex, elegant and harmonious. Long and persistent.
