Sandy-loam and limestone soils. South-facing vineyard.
Situated just 2000 metres from the sea and exposed to strong northerly winds from Monchique.
WINEMAKING AND AGEING
Hand-picked at night. The grapes undergo destemming, crushing, délestage and fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
TASTING NOTES
Smooth and elegant, with ripe tannins and a full, lingering body.
Aromas of violet-like flowers, black fruit, cocoa, tobacco and a hint of spice.
